With the chairlift, you can quickly reach the top without much effort. From Storenos (1183 m.a.s.l.) you get a magnificent view of the surrounding landscape. On a clear day, you may see as far as the Hardangervidda mountain plateau. Storenos is also a great starting point for hiking in the summer/autumn, and for skiing in the winter.
Hiking in the summer/autumn: There is a marked trail that leads north to a viewpoint located 500 meters from the chairlift drop-off. From here, you may choose to continue on the blue-marked trail towards Støylsskarnuten and then follow the red-marked trail on a dirt road down to Hovden, or to the Sloaros tourist cabin. You may also follow a short blue-marked trail from the viewpoint down to Hovden, or take the gravel road that goes directly down between the ski slopes under the lift.
There are downhill biking trails from Storenos, and bikes can be transported up with the lift.
