Floodlit cross-country trails

Hovden has a 10-kilometre network of floodlit trails. The lights are on until 11 p.m. every night. In Bykle, 28 kilometres south of Hovden, there is a 7.6-kilometre floodlit trail.

The trail comprising central Hovden starts at the Hovden Høyfjellssenter, runs next to the Hovden Waterpark & Spa and continues towards the Hegni outdoor area. The trail is narrow in some places and is therefore groomed with a small machine. For this reason, the section south of central Hovden is not adapted for skate skiing.

However, the floodlit trail in connection with the stadium is groomed for classic as well as skate skiing. Although this trail is mainly located in the stadium area, it is connected to the floodlit trail in the centre of Hovden.

Recommended direction: To the right / counterclockwise.

The floodlit trail in Bykle is located near the health centre. Small car park. The trail is situated in a forest terrain and is demanding in some places. An easier option is the 1-kilometre trail in the same area.

Recommended direction: To the right / counterclockwise.
