Storenos – round trip 7,2 km
Storenos 1181 meters above sea level – on foot or by chairlift
Storenos is the highest family-friendly summit hike marked from Hovden center. Follow the illuminated trail along the Otra river to Hovden High Mountain Center, then the walkway towards the ski center, continue on the gravel road past Lundebuteigen and up to the treeline. Follow the trail towards Falkaskardet to the top.
If you go down the same way, this option is about 7.2 km starting from the parking lot at Hovden Alpine Center. Alternatively, you can take the chairlift to the top of Storenos and walk the last 500 meters to the viewpoint. The return can also be made down the slopes of Hovden Alpine Center.
If you are ready for a longer hike when you reach the viewpoint north of Falkarkaret, you can continue north towards Støylsskarnuten. The trail is marked with blue until you meet the T-marked trail Sloaros–Hovden. Follow this down to Hovden.
