Støylsskarnuten – round trip 8 km
You may start the hike to Støylsskarnuten by taking the chairlift at Hovden Alpinsenter to the top station of Storenos.
From the top station of the chairlift there is a blue-marked trail taking you past the Støylsskarnuten mountain. For two to three kilometers, you walk in high mountain terrain at an elevation of around 1200 meters, until you reach a red T-marked trail/cart road. This trail runs from Hovden to the tourist cabin Sloaros. Follow the cart road southeast and down to the parking lot at Hovden Alpinsenter.
The entire hike is about 8 kilometers starting from the top station of Storenos.
There are few water sources along this trail, so you should bring your own water bottle. Also, as this hike goes through a high mountain landscape, you should bring extra windproof clothing.
