Støylsskarnuten – round trip 8 km
You can start the hike to Støylsskarnuten by taking the chairlift at Hovden Alpine Center to the top of Storenos.
From the top of Storenos (chairlift), there is a blue-marked trail passing Støylsskaret and over Støylsskarnuten. For two to three kilometers, you walk in high mountain terrain at about 1200 meters above sea level. Then you come onto a red T-marked trail/cart road. This trail comes from Hovden and goes to the tourist cabin Sloaros. Follow the cart road southeast and down to the parking lot at Hovden Alpine Center.
The entire hike is about 8 kilometers starting from the top of Storenos.
There are few water sources along this trail, so you should bring your own drinks. Also, remember that you are in the bare mountain, so you should bring extra windproof clothing.
