On October 4th and 5th Katarina Kjelland will be in the mountains giving a pottery course with Linne and Kari at Potteriet in Hovden. So if you live/spend your autumn holidays in Hovden, we hope to share this experience with you!
The course will take place from 11:00 to 15:00 on Saturday and Sunday. Young people from 12 years and up are welcome. The price per person is 2600 NOK, including materials and tea/coffee.

Course information: This course will give you basic knowledge of working with clay. The goal is for you to gain an understanding of the entire process, from raw clay to fired and finished pottery. And you will also take beautiful things home with you that will bring you joy for a long time.
During the course, various modeling techniques and methods for treating clay surfaces will be illustrated. You will have the opportunity to work hands-on and experiment with the techniques on your own, and create personal objects. I will also show you how to use the wheel, so that everyone can try their hand at ceramics. Note: This is not a ceramics course. If you want to delve deeper, you can take a personal ceramics course.
Optional: A couple of weeks after the course, we will organize a glazing workshop, and you can choose whether you want to participate or let us glaze for you. This will be discussed in more detail during the course.
