The mountain village in upper Setesdal

Hovden is located in the municipality of Bykle in upper Setesdal and is the largest ski destination in this part of Norway. If you love the mountains, this is the place for you. If you are travelling through, going either north or south, you have many good reasons to stop here. Hovden offers a number of activities, places to eat and places of accommodation.

At Hovden there are many good fishing lakes and nice hiking trails. The summit hikes are popular for the whole family. On warm summer days, the Hegni outdoor area is a popular spot for swimming, fishing, cycling or hiking.

The Hovden Water Park, with its indoor and outdoor pool, is a year-round paradise for people of all ages. You should also set aside some time for a round on the Ørnefjell Golf Course, situated 720 meters above sea level. The beautiful scenery provides an extra dimension to the game.

In the winter, Hovden offers 170 kilometers of cross-country trails that are groomed daily, from forest trails in the lowlands to high mountain trails. Hovden Alpinsenter has slopes adapted to all levels, some of which are floodlit and open several days a week.
